Nursery is available year-round downstairs for children ages 0 - 3 years old. 

Children’s Church (for children age 3 - Kindergarten) is available Sept - May  in the basement during the worship service. Children are dismissed to their class following the children's message. 
 

Sunday School classes are available for kids 4 yrs old - 5th grade from 10:40 am - 11:30 am starting in the sanctuary (when the bell rings).

Catechism classes are available for Middle School and High School students from 10:40 am - 11:30 am as directed below:

• Middle School (6th-8th grade) downstairs in the MS Youth Room.
• High School (9th-12th grade) in the youth building (NE corner of church property)

We will be looking at “Discipleship: The Study” by Ray Vander Laan. This is a video-led series with participant guides. Please contact Sandy Rice to reserve a book.

Discipleship: The Study -by Ray Vander Laan

Imagine that God gave humanity a clear map for how to follow Him: The Bible. God’s people took that map and learned all about it—its history, its various languages. Many could even use that map to win arguments. But what if, instead of actually following the map, humanity was content to simply learn about it. What if, for all of our knowledge, we never took a single step on the journey?

In RVL Discipleship: The Study, join renowned teacher and Bible Scholar Ray Vander Laan as he examines what it means to be a follower of Christ through the cultural, historical, and otherwise contextual lens of Scripture. The Study is a four-season video Bible study for small groups and individuals to consider the question: what did it mean to be one of the original disciples of Jesus, and what does that mean for us today?

Season 1:
Jesus’ original disciples really knew their Bible. As modern-day followers of Jesus, it is vitally important that we value Scripture in the same way. Season 1 of The Study outlines how we are meant to interact with the Text: 
1)    approaching it from the context in which it was written; 
2)    exploring how Jesus used the Scriptures in His teaching;
3)    understanding how His followers were meant to be changed by what they learned;
4)    identifying the major paradigm that ties the whole Bible together.

There is a $125 fee for your room - that's all we ask you to pay!  Those interested, please let Pastor Ashley know.  We'll be asking for firm commitment with payment by November 1.  Scholarships will be available if needed.  Also, see Pastor Ashley if you're willing to help prepare and serve a meal (supper, breakfast, or lunch).  We're excited to see how God will continue to strengthen our marriages!

A Harvest of Thankful Prayer- Sunday, November 9 at 4:30 pm in the Fellowship hall. The Prayer Ministry Team invites you to a time of reflecting on God’s Blessings. In small groups, people will share why they are thankful with regard to the following topics: family, Highland CRC, our country, work and unexpected blessings. After 15-20 minutes of sharing, a prayer of thanksgiving will be lifted up in prayer on the groups behalf by someone who has already been pre-selected. The evening will conclude with a time of fellowship and a light potluck supper.

J.O.Y. Group will be getting together for a time of fellowship, coffee and donuts on Wednesday, November 12 at 10 am. Please sign up by the information table if you plan to attend to help us with planning for enough donuts.

The Fellowship Bible Study group invites you to a night of song followed by a time of fellowship and a light potluck supper.
